UNCERTAIN GERMANIC TRIBES, Pseudo-Imperial coinage. Late 3rd-early 4th centuries. 'Aureus' (Gold, 21 mm, 5.75 g, 11 h), 'Derived Gordian Group C'. bIN[...]DMN[...]ИLVDHI Laureate, draped and cuirassed imperial bust to left, seen from behind. Rev. [...]+VIDDHVIAD Uncertain figure seated left, leaning left on tripod (?). Original suspension loop broken off. Holed and with some scrapes and scratches, otherwise, fine.

It is certainly not an understatement to say that this coin has had a rough life, but the major features of Group C are still discernible: an abstract imperial portrait facing to the left with the shoulder seen from behind.
